Meet Cage... He is the latest edition to our family. His story is rather unique and you'll understand how he got his name if you read on.
We have a rabbit problem in our area. They have chewed the wires in our van causing transmission trouble 3 or 4 times now, thus costing a lot of money to repair it! Our neighbors gave us a small animal cage to catch the rabbits and place them elsewhere... We have this cage set up with no bait outside our garage. One snowy morning near the end of December, my husband came in from outside and said we caught a cat in our cage... I, being the cat lover I am, said bring it in let me see! He did and I fell in love with him. We checked with other neighbors and they said it wasn't their cat, therefore, he became our cat. We've have now had the ear mites treated, had him neutered and de-clawed so now he's now a perfect inside kitty! He and Scruffy have issues every now and then, but I think they are learning to co-exist now which is a really good thing.

Knowledge Bowl Time... On Tuesday I helped with my oldest son's Knowledge Bowl as the "timer". Today I did the same with my middle son. My seat was better today so I was able to snap a few photos while I was there. The Knowledge Bowl happens 3-4 times a year. The kids split into teams and answer questions regarding things they have studied in class. It's kinda like a big game show. Only the person holding the team "object" gets to answer for the team but they do get 30 seconds to "huddle" to come up with the team answer. In these pics you see 1 - The Huddle, 2 - What it looks like to answer the question and 3 - How it looks to get the answer right! Our kids go to a great school! We are very thankful!

Today you get to see two pics. This morning we worked at home and this afternoon I took a little drive up in the mountains to see this waterfall....

"Dad, these bales aren't heavy. I pulled them right out of the truck with this rope!" This is my youngest son on the cab of our truck after I helped unload these 1/2 ton bales! The farmer we get our hay from didn't have any small bales left so we ended up getting these... When he loaded them with the tractor we didn't even think about the unloading process once we got home. As you can see we figured it out but it was no easy task!

This is Helen Hunt Falls where I've taken senior pics in the past. I've always been here in the warm months and decided to drive up the mountain this afternoon to see what it looks like in the winter. Just a different kind of beautiful!

I was practicing with my 50mm 1:2 Macro lens today. This is my son's eye but if you look closely you can see me in it taking the photo. It is 100% unedited, sooc.

Shiny red helmet? Pouty little boy? Which one do you see? Actually, neither. I asked my son if I could take a picture of him and his new bike helmet. He bent down and this is what I got. I think it looks rather abstract. Just kinda cool that the arms and legs that you can see match the colors!
