On Saturday my boys participated in the first ever Buffalo Swim Club Youth Triathlon. It was always planned for Porter to participate. He swam, ran and biked. Hamlin was a last minute entry on a team where the other boy could not do the running due to health reasons. He was so excited to participate and even lost a shoe along the way and then just took the other one off as well! What a trooper to run 4 laps, 3 of which were barefoot! Porter placed 2nd in his division of boys age 9 and under with a time of 40.52. They both did an awesome job and we are very proud! You can see all the pics from the event on my page on Facebook. Rainbows and Lilacs
Not only do the lilacs in my back yard look pretty, they smell amazing as well! I have noticed so many lilacs in the area lately that are just beautiful. I don't know about you, but adding the smell to their beauty is just a bonus! I couldn't help but take this photo of a rainbow shining through them on Monday night. Isn't God's handiwork incredible! Hopefully you will get out and enjoy it too! As the kids are learning in VBS this week, "look for God" you'll find Him everywhere!

Billings Strawberry Festival 6-11-11
We by coincidence were in Billings yesterday and attended the Annual Strawberry Festival. The kids LOVED it and got to partake in the cake you see. Pieces were about 6 inches by 4 or 5 inches and $2 each with proceeds going to the Chefs and Cooks of Montana Scholarship Fund. We stood in line from the beginning of the preparation until the end and were actually the first family served! It was quite fun and if you're in the Billings area when this happens next year, I'd recommend you stop by and check it out!
